New Forest Ice Cream is very excited to be celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2023 with heaps of ice cream and a cherry on top!

Founded in 1983 by Lawrie and Sue Jenman, New Forest Ice Cream rapidly became known as being a quality producer of real dairy ice cream, based in the idyllic surrounds of the New Forest. The family business grew rapidly, and quickly gained a stellar reputation for scrumptious flavours and their flawless customer service. By 1988 New Forest Ice Cream had outgrown their small production facilities and relocated to larger premises in Lymington, still remaining in the heart of the Area of Natural Beauty. In1992, Lawrie and Sue’s twin daughters Niki and Christina, joined the business which extended the family run nature of the business, and allowed the company to go from strength to strength.

The decades flew by and in 2011 New Forest had once again grown out of their production facilities, and so, built a brand new site dedicated to manufacturing, storage and the distribution of their award winning ice cream. In 2015, Niki and Christina, fully took over New Forest Ice Cream after Sue & Lawrie retired. Sadly Lawrie passed in 2020 but both daughters have kept his promise to keep the family business running and to honour their father’s wishes.

To commemorate the success of forty wonderful years, New Forest Ice Cream have created the Ruby Ice Cream. Suitably named, the ice cream encompasses everything to do with celebrations by combining flavours of crisp prosecco, tangy raspberry and sweet white chocolate. This magnificent serve embraces everything that Niki and Christina bring to the business… glitz and fabulousness!

The two sisters, of course, are very excited about what 2023 has to bring to the business:

New Forest Ice Cream has gone from strength to strength over the years, expanding into 500ml takeaway tubs, to launching their own vegan range of ice cream to be able to accommodate further dietary requirement and lifestyle choices. The business has demonstrated not only how they can strive in a business, but how to always bring a smile to peoples’ faces and serve a flippin’ great scoop of ice cream!
