It is with deep sadness that our New Forest Ice Cream family announces the passing of much loved founder Lawrie Jenman.
Lawrie passed away Saturday, 22nd August after a short spell of ill health. Lawrie founded the business in 1983 with his wife Sue after his daughter Christina asked him to make her some ice cream. They developed a family recipe which we still use today.
Over time his children grew and joined the family business, and eventually took over the reins from Lawrie and Sue, today being run by the next generation Christina and Niki, along with cousin Dave in production – whilst Lawrie and Sue retired in 2015, Lawrie always remained an active figure head within the company.
With the current climate and at this difficult time for the family, Lawrie’s funeral will be kept private.
