We believe that ice cream and sorbet are treats that should be available to as many people as possible. That’s why we have developed a range of flavours and products which are suitable for those with certain allergies and intolerances. All of our products are suitable for vegetarians (except for mini marshmallows) and, with the exception of Pistachio flavour, all of our products scoop, 500ml and 120ml ice creams are produced in a nut-free environment. In addition, a number of our flavours are made using gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan recipe. We also avoid artificial flavourings across our range, delivering award-winning ice cream in the process.
It is important to us that as many people as possible can enjoy our delicious ice cream and it is for exactly this reason that we made the decision early on that our Lymington factory would be a nut-free facility.
We can confidently say that our New Forest Ice Cream products* (except our Pistachio ice cream, which is produced off-site to prevent cross-contamination) are suitable for those with a nut allergy. As we produce all our ice cream and sorbet* in our Lymington facility, including our scoop, 120ml, and 500ml tub having a completely nut-free environment is crucial. We even have a nut ban in our offices and break-out rooms, so you can be sure that staff working in the production area have not come into contact with any traces of nuts before making your ice cream.

At New Forest Ice Cream, we want to ensure those who have Coeliac disease or are sensitive to gluten are able to enjoy our ice cream too. That’s why we created a range of flavours that are certified as ‘Gluten Free’. We have independent gluten residue tests completed on every batch we make, confirming that our products are free from gluten. Launched in 2019, our Vegan range offers the same indulgent flavours and luxurious textures, without the use of dairy products. Currently available in three of our most popular flavours, Vanilla Pod, Chocolate and Salted Caramel, our vegan ice cream is also gluten-free. Made using many of the same fine ingredients, including real Madagascan vanilla pod seeds, we’re confident that our new vegan range offers a great alternative to those looking for a delicious non-dairy dessert.
The products in our wrapped goods and lollies range are produced off-site by a range of suppliers, each carefully hand-selected by us. We feel that this is the best way to offer our customers a complete choice, particularly as we simply don’t have the capacity to produce them in Lymington.
